Gift Card Terms

Clear rules for purchasing, keeping and redeeming a Kingpin digital gift card.

1. Issuer and acceptance

Kingpin Gift Cards are issued by NewStar LTD, operating as Kingpin Bowling Centre at 5125 52 Avenue, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Purchasing, receiving or using a card means you accept these terms.

2. Value, expiry and fees

Cards are denominated in Canadian dollars. They do not expire, do not have activation or maintenance fees, and cannot be reloaded. The available balance is the maximum amount that can be used.

3. Where and how cards may be used

Cards may be used in person at Kingpin Bowling Centre for eligible bowling, party and food purchases. Partial redemption and split payment are allowed. Cards are not currently accepted for online bookings or online checkout.

4. Taxes

No GST/HST is charged when a paid gift card is issued. Applicable taxes are calculated by Kingpin's point-of-sale system when the card is used to pay for taxable goods or services.

5. Restrictions

Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be used to purchase another gift card, and do not provide cash change. Gift card sales are final except where applicable law requires otherwise. A Manager may cancel a never-used card sold in error only after the original point-of-sale refund has been completed and verified.

6. Security, loss and replacement

Keep the card number, PIN, email link and Wallet pass secure. Contact Kingpin promptly if a card is lost, shared without permission or may be compromised. Kingpin may freeze the card while investigating. After reasonable purchase verification, a Manager may issue replacement credentials; the old credentials and Wallet pass will stop working.

7. Balance and Wallet display

Kingpin's server ledger is the authoritative record of the balance and transaction history. Apple Wallet or Google Wallet may occasionally show an older balance while an update is being delivered. Redemption always uses the current server balance.

8. Availability and disputes

Gift cards can be redeemed only while Kingpin's online verification service is available. If a transaction is disputed, Kingpin may review the point-of-sale receipt, card ledger and audit records. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be limited.

9. Privacy

Kingpin uses the recipient name and email address to deliver and support the card. Personal information is handled as described in the Gift Card Privacy Notice.
